ABOUT ME

I am Jule Bulant, a ceramic artist (she/her) living and working in Halle (Saale) Germany.

My work unfolds along what I call “seams”—points where bodies touch, collide, or meet. These lines are sites of tension, connection, and the potential to drift apart.

A guiding thread for my practice lies in my own biography as one of three sisters: a shared foundation from which different forms and paths evolve. This becomes visible in my objects through joints, fractures, and layerings. I build my pieces from separate segments, leaving their connections deliberately open and legible.

I am interested in how closeness and distance inscribe themselves simultaneously into these structures. Each connection remains provisional, open to change.

The resulting fragile constellations bring together different materials, surfaces, and volumes. My works oscillate between vessel and free form and often appear in open groups, where proximity, difference, and development become visible in space.
